Booking:

To book your place for the weekend, click here to send us an email. For non-email bookings or queries, see our Contact Info.

We have set Monday, April 1, 2019 as our deadline for booking, because we need to plan how much food to prepare. But you can book right now, and the sooner, the better. We have beds for 28 people.

Where:

Torna Hallestad is a culturally rich little village near a unique and beautiful "twisted forest", not far from Lund in Southern Sweden. There we rent the main scout house at Gamlegård, with sleeping accommodations, kitchen, and rooms where we can play, talk, and (of course) eat our meals.

As usual, we plan to gather at a central location and then share car space to travel together to Gamlegård. When you tell us you're coming, we'll tell you where we'll be meeting and how to get there.

Various airlines fly to nearby Copenhagen's Kastrup airport. Malmö airport is another possibility, with connections to some other less "common" airports. We can arrange to pick you up in Lund, and trains direct from Kastrup to Lund are frequent, taking about 45 minutes, while there's a bus from Malmö airport to Lund. In addition to airlines, there are sometimes also attractive special fares on railways within continental Europe, but you would have to check with your local railway office about that.

Coming from outside Sweden:
The continuing border checks instituted by Sweden should pose no problem as long as you have a valid photo ID. (If you flew in, whatever you used for the airline will do.) A passport is the best, but national ID cards from EU countries are accepted if they include a photo.

How much:

Due to rising costs, the price for this year's weekend is tentatively set at 750 Swedish kronor per person... slightly higher than the 650 kronor of recent years. When a final decision is made, it won't be higher than that, but it could be lower.

Youth may contact us about a possible discount. Such requests will be considered on an individual basis.

Bed & Board:

The beds are reasonable, bunk beds 2-3 per room, and there's adequate hot water for showers. Gamlegård provides pillows and blankets, but doesn't provide either bed linens or towels. If you can't bring your own, let us know when you book, and we'll try to provide some.

Our core menu is tasty vegetarian food, which always gets compliments even from confirmed carnivores.

If you have allergies or other specific needs, please let us know when you book, and we'll do our best to accomodate you.

For persons needing accomodations for an additional night or nights either before or after the weekend, we'll try to find a place to put you up, if you arrange with us in advance.
