(Ingen uddybning på dansk, pga. danskerne har oplevet vejret.) White Christmas is rare here in Helsingør (Elsinore), but this year was a lovely, though brief, exception. Danes have their big celebration December 24, and that day it snowed four times here. When I woke there was a light dusting of snow on the ground, and it was rapidly melting.  But by midmorning it had started snowing again, big feathery flakes.  The temperature remained above freezing even past midnight, but the snow stopped and started again and again, eventually leaving about 4 inches (10 cm). With a clear and sunny 25th, the snow quickly melted, with just patches remaining here and there. But it was beautiful while it lasted. Here are a few photos (click to enlarge).
